Our Story

I spent over two years helping business owners hire virtual assistants from the Philippines and Latin America. I was an Account Executive at one of the leading VA recruiting agencies in the space — I helped scale that business from six figures to eight figures, and it eventually exited for $52 million in 2024.

I placed hundreds of hires. I talked to thousands of business owners. And I noticed something over and over again: most employers are completely lost when it comes to hiring overseas. They don't know where to find good talent. They don't know if they can trust the candidates. They don't know how to pay them. So they lean on agencies — and those agencies charge $5,000 to $10,000 per hire.

I'm Mathew, and I founded HireSA.

I've spent my career in sales and recruiting. For over two years I worked at somewhere.com, one of the leading virtual assistant recruiting agencies in the world, where I helped scale the company from six to eight figures and played a role in its $52 million exit. I've helped hundreds of business owners find and hire remote talent. On the side, I partner with popular influencers to build out and improve their sales teams.

My passion is sales. Specifically, helping entrepreneurs delegate and train incredible salespeople so they can focus on growing their business. I've seen what happens when a founder finally gets the right person in the right seat — everything changes.

South Africa has some of the best sales talent in the world, and most people don't know it yet. I built HireSA because I want every business owner to have access to that talent — without the agency markup, without the runaround, and without the risk.
